What if I don’t like milk chocolate?
If you’re not a fan of milk chocolate, you can absolutely substitute the regular chocolate sauce and shavings for white chocolate instead. Some might even enjoy the combination of sweet white chocolate and tart raspberry even better than with milk or dark chocolate!
Do I have to buy the sauces?
Nope. If you want to, you can make both the chocolate and raspberry sauce at home.
For the raspberry sauce, simply puree 1½ cups of fresh raspberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar in a food processor. Then, press the resulting mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove all of the seeds.
For the chocolate sauce, heat ½ cup heavy cream over medium heat in a small saucepan. Then add 4 ounces of chopped chocolate (or chopped white chocolate) in a heat-safe bowl. Once the cream is hot, add it to the chocolate, let sit for 30 seconds, stir well until smooth. Finally, stir in just a pinch of salt.
Create a Valentine’s Day coffee bar
Want to take your homemade mocha latte to the next level? You can create an entire coffee bar, offering a variety of syrup flavors like caramel, gingerbread, peppermint, and others. Additionally, you can utilize standard milk for your Valentine’s Day coffee or you can offer a variety of non-dairy milks for the coffee.
If you want to put out extra topping options too, sea salt and toasted coconut would go perfectly with this sweet treat.
